Establishment
Climate Neutral Group is a Dutch organisation that leads the Benelux market for climate neutrality and carbon offsetting. We were established in 2001 as 'Business for Climate' by parties including Triodos Bank, Doen Foundation (National Postcode Lottery) and Face Foundation. After the merger with GreenSeat in January 2007 it was decided to change the name to Climate Neutral Group. GreenSeat remains the premier label for carbon offsetting for air travel.
Experience
Climate Neutral Group has many years' experience in calculating companies’ carbon footprints, providing advice on reduction, developing CO2 offset projects and advising on climate-neutral services and products. We have already helped more than 500 organisations to do business completely or partly climate-neutral. Worldwide, this makes us one of the frontrunners in this field.
Transparency
Climate Neutral Group serves the community at large so we consider it important to communicate our activities as transparently as possible. You can find detailed information about our projects on our website, as well as quality criteria, supervision of carbon offsets and the calculations that we use. Besides this, the annual report that we publish each year provides a full insight into our financial results plus information about certification, projects and an overview of our customers. And of course the annual report also includes our own carbon footprint. Furthermore, in 2008 we commissioned KPMG to conduct an independent study into our projects.
